Steve Teare
Agent: Erica Rand SilvermanSteve Teare is an author-illustrator living in the hilly area of Northwest Philadelphia.
His comics and drawings have appeared in The New Yorker, The Believer, The Nib, Philadelphia Inquirer, VICE and elsewhere. Steve broke into the publishing scene when his portfolio won the Silver Award at the 2024 Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators Winter Conference. Forthcoming books include Sixteen Games of Hide and Seek by Stephen Barr (Neal Porter Books, 2026) and his author-illustrator debut picture book, We’re Late (Neal Porter Books, 2027). He plays guitar and sings in a band made up mostly of dads, and he lives with his wife, his daughter, and a dog called Pickles.
