Sam Reece is a queer comedy writer, content creator, actor, and author. She’s written for HBO, Comedy Central, and Audible, and has appeared on shows like The Other Two, as well as in national commercials for extremely cool stuff like mattresses and toothpaste.

She is one half of the comedy duo Girls with Brown Hair, which got its start at the Upright Citizens Brigade in 2013. Their short film Apocalypse Besties premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2025.

Sam runs Shitty Craft Club, a delightfully chaotic community and viral TikTok account with over 280K followers dedicated to crafting badly and joyfully. The club has been featured in The Los Angeles Times, Glamour, BUST, and Paste Magazine, and inspired her book Shitty Craft Club, which was published in 2023 by Chronicle Books. 

Her next book is about the crafts you make for your cats even though your cats don’t give a shit, published by Ten Speed Press in 2027.
