Matilde Pettini

Matilde Pettini is a chef and the co-creator of Lunch at Lola’s, a cookbook born from a friendship and collaboration with writer Karena Benke. Blending their two crafts—writing and cooking—they created a narrative recipe book that is both intimate and generous.

The fourth generation in a family of restaurateurs, Matilde grew up in the kitchen of Florence’s historic Trattoria Cammillo, now run by her mother. She has inherited and transformed her family’s culinary tradition into a personal language of curiosity, flavor, and creative freedom. With her own restaurant, dalla Lola, also in Florence, she has drawn the attention of The New York Times and Life & Thyme, and was featured in the first episode of Stanley Tucci's: Tucci in Italy (National Geographic and Disney+), where dalla Lola is celebrated as a vibrant place of memory and cuisine.

A top graduate of Florence’s Cordon Bleu Culinary School—where she later taught—Matilde lives and works in her hometown, continuing to experiment and share food as both an emotional and genuine act.
