Adam Auerbach’s visual work is distinguished by its remarkable versatility. From striking pen and ink to vibrant watercolors to bold digital cartooning, Adam creates art that is playfully accessible and strikingly sophisticated.

He is the author-illustrator of Edda: A Little Valkyrie’s First Day of School, an Ezra Jack Keats New Writer Honor Book, as well as Monkey Brother, The Three Vikings, which Booklist praised as being reminiscent of Tomi Ungerer, and Legendary Creatures, which SLJ called “a feast for the eyes and brain.” Adam's illustrations have appeared in numerous publications, including the New York Times. He is a book designer by day and lives with his family in Brooklyn.
