Seth Stewart

Seth Stewart is a performer best known for taking on the roles of Marquis de Lafayette and Thomas Jefferson, after having been an original cast member in Lin-Manuel Miranda’s award-winning, sold-out phenomenon Hamilton: the Musical.

He is an original cast member of the Tony-nominated musical Sweet Charity, as well as an original cast member of Miranda’s In the Heights, which is the inspiration behind Stewart’s picture book 7 Stories Tall. In the PBS documentary Chasing Broadway Dreams, Stewart sees himself for the first time as the symbol of In the Heights, super-sized in the middle of Times Square. His book was born from this moment.

Stewart has graced the silver screen in the Sex and the City movie, Music and Lyrics, and Friends With Benefits. He has performed all over the world alongside some of the world’s most well known artists including Madonna, Jennifer Lopez, Mariah Carey, and Jay-Z.

He currently lives in Los Angeles, where he is transitioning into a career as a screenwriter. He wrote 7 Stories Tall in hopes of sending a message to children to follow their dreams, and to encourage their parents to support them—even when the dream seems impossible.
