Hester
Bass |
After
a rural childhood in Georgia, Hester Bass received a B.A. in Communications
at Simmons College in Boston, working as a radio and television copywriter
and voice talent, as well as lead singer in a rock band. In New York
City, she studied Shakespearean acting and delivered singing telegrams
to an astonished Andy Warhol, among others. She sang to Dick Clark on
“The $50,000 Pyramid” and was a winner in the Hot Seat on
“Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.” Hester then dodged traffic
in Atlanta, was mesmerized by the culture of the Mississippi Gulf Coast,
and now writes for children and teens at the foot of a mountain in Alabama.
Hester enjoys performing at schools and book festivals, and loves extremely
dark chocolate, the Beatles, and a good yarn. www.hesterbass.com |
