Mary E. Pearson is the author A Room on Lorelei Street, winner of the 2006 Golden Kite Award for Fiction, and also a BBYA, Tayshas, and JHunt Award Book. Her other books, Scribbler of Dreams, and David v. God, have also received numerous awards and honors, including the South Carolina Young Adult Book Award, the NYPL Best Books for the Teen Age, and Choice Books of the International Reading Association.

Her latest novel, The Adoration of Jenna Fox is due out in Spring '08 from Henry Holt Books. She says, “When you are faced with losing one of the most precious gifts you possess, your mind wanders down an infinite number of ‘what if’ paths. And even as I wrote this story, those paths twisted and turned in unexpected ways. It made me think me think how none of us really knows what our future holds, and perhaps more importantly, that none of us can judge how we will react to it until we are actually there.”

Mary is a native Southern Californian and writes from her home in Carlsbad, that she shares with her husband, daughter, and two very needy golden retrievers.
